The Oak Hill Lady Golden Eagles wasted no time setting the tone of the game as they scored the first nine points in a 48-16 sectional championship win over Manchester.

Brittany McCorkle would start and end the 9-0 run with a three on each side while Kaela Robey and Adrianna Trexler connected. Eva Bazzoni would hit for the Squires to stop the run before Trexler ended the quarter with a bucket and an 11-2 Oak Hill lead.

Kennedy Fierstos would drain a three to start the second quarter and make it 11-5 when the Eagles responded with 9 straight. Trexler, Taylor Westgate and Andrea Wilk all hit as Oak Hill led 20-5 at the half.

The stingy Oak Hill defense had given up just one bucket per quarter in the first half and did the same in the third. Robey would hit, followed by McCorkles third three to make it 25-5 when Jirni Cripe made it 25-7. Again the Eagles would respond with a run, this time 15-0 to end the quarter and increase their lead to 40-7 after three. McCorkle would lead the way with 7 points in the quarter with Robey chipping in 6.

Manchester would out score Oak Hill 9-8 in the fourth with Emma West and Emma Garriott each hitting a bucket. Oak Hill got buckets from McCorkle and Wilk. Oak Hill went on to defeat Manchester 48-16 for the sectional title.
