Norse Track Second At Churubusco

Both Northfield track teams placed second at Churubusco Thursday.

The Girls Track & Field team worked hard to earn 2nd at the Churubusco Meet last night. Last night’s Event Champions were Alyssa McKillip in the 1600 meter run and Kearston Stout 800 meter run & Long Jump. The following girls all placed within the top 4, and helped earn points for the Norse: Brittany Bussard (2nd 300m Hurdles & 3rd Pole Vault), Nikita Dunn (4th Long Jump), Vivian Lemaster (4th 400m dash), Karlie Poland (3rd 100m Hurdles & 3rd High Jump), & Renee Rudy (4th Discus). Overall, all seven girls helped contribute points to the team.

The Boys Track & Field team competed well to earn 2nd at the Churubusco Meet last night. Last night’s Event Champions were the 4×800 meter relay team of Andrew Burns, Peyton Frye, Jasper Long, and Eric Tracy, as well as Andrew Burns in the 3200m. The following boys all placed within the top 4, and helped earn points for the Norse: Seth Forsyth (3rd Pole Vault & 4th 200 meter dash,), Peyton Frye (4th 1600 meter run), Alex Haupert (2nd Long Jump & 4th Pole Vault), Ben Kissel (2nd High Jump), Jasper Long (2nd 800 meter run), Trent Osborn (4th 400 meter dash). For the relays, the 4×100 meter team of Forsyth, Haupert, Kinsey, and Galbraith brought home 2nd & the 4×400 meter teams of Forsyth, Haupert, Long, Osborn, and Burns, Frye, Kissel, & Reed worked hard to bring home 2nd & 3rd place finishes.
