Manchester Men’s Tennis Takes Down Mt. St. Joseph
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Manchester University men’s tennis team earned a 7-2 victory in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday afternoon against the Mount St. Joseph University Lions.
The Manchester duo of Bailey Buhrt and Samuel Hollingsworth paired for an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
In singles action on Friday, Isaac Miller earned a hard-fought victory in three sets against Guy Watkins, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-1) at the No. 2 flight. At No. 3 singles, Bailey Buhrt won 6-0, 6-0 and Samuel Hollingsworth picked up a 6-0, 6-3 victory at the No. 4 slot.
The Spartans won by forfeit at No. 3 doubles and No. 5-6 singles.
Manchester ended a four-match skid and moved to 4-5, 2-5 HCAC. The Spartans will return to action on Tuesday April 23 at 5 p.m. against IU-South Bend.
