Lady Norse Hang On At Valley
The Northfield Lady Norse out hit Tippecanoe Valley 11-6 in a 6-5 win over the Vikings Wednesday.
With the game tied at 1 heading to the third the Norse would score four times in the inning. Jenna Krom and Addi Baker started the inning with back to back singles before Krom scored on an Abby Hunter single to grab a 2-1 lead.Kyra Kennedy would then triple home both runners to lead 4-1. Faith Satterwaite would follow with a ground out that scored Kennedy to lead 5-1. Valley would answer with a run in the bottom of the inning to make it 5-2.
The Norse would add a much needed run in the fourth when Bailey Burcroff scored on an error after hitting a single. Valley would plate 2 runs in the bottom of the inning to make it 6-4, then score one more time in the seventh with the Norse holding on for the 6-5 win.
