Two Baker Home Runs Leads Lady Norse Past Squires

Northfield sophomore Addi Baker hit two home runs in the fifth inning, lifting the Norse to 10 fifth inning runs in a 10-0 win over Manchester Monday.

The game was scoreless heading to the bottom of the fifth when the fireworks went off. Bailey Burcroff would lead off the inning reaching on a dropped third strike and was followed by Jenna Krom reaching on a fielders choice. Baker would then hit her first bomb of the inning to give Northfield a 3-0 lead. With one out Abby Hunter would single up the middle and was followed by a Kyra Kennedy infield single. Faith Satterwaite would then single home pinch runner Addi Rosen for a 4-0 lead. Elise Gottschalk followed with an rbi single for a 5-0 lead. With two outs Burcroff singled home Satterwaite before a single from Krom. Leading 7-0 Baker would end the game with a three run shot over the center field fence for the 10-0 score.
