Lady Squires Fall To Whitko In Sectional Opener
The Manchester Lady Squires opened sectional play at Oak Hill Tuesday, falling to Whitko 9-1.
Manchester was trailing 5-0 heading to the bottom of the fifth when they got the goose egg off the scoreboard. Mackenzie Day would single before advancing to second on an Avery Howard ground out. Andrea Kahn would follow with a double that chased home Day to make it 5-1.
Whitko would plate four more runs in the seventh for the 9-1 final.
