O’Neill Sixth At Nationals

Kiersten O’Neill placed 6th at the USA Wrestling USMC Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, ND

She wrestled at 164 lbs in the 16U age division in a field of 22 girls from 13 different states. She wrestled 7 times in two days, winning 4 matches on her run.

This is the largest high school tournament in the world, spanning a total of 7 days, over 4,000 athletes, thousands of matches, and in the limelight of hundreds of college coaches. The tournament went from over 400 girls competing last year to over 600 this year.

Kierston be competing in the Junior age division (16-19 year olds) starting Tuesday.
