Wabash Boys Second At Norwell CC Invite
The Wabash cross country teams headed to Norwell High School on Saturday to compete in the Dog Days of August Run.
The Wabash boys had an impressive second place finish. Dereck Vogel finished 1st followed by Blakely Cole who finished 6th. Caleb Callahan had a great start to the season with a 8th place finish. Dave Ford and Jarrett Wilson finished with almost identical times for 18th and 19th places respectively. Wyatt Davis, Eli Callahan and Jacob Fuchs also ran inspired races.
Competing in their first meet of the season, the girls were able to walk away with a complete team score for the first time in two years.
Senior Angel Wehrly finished first for the team with a time of 28:20. Next came Sierra Hall, a junior, with a time of 28:40. Senior Camille Kugler followed not far behind with a time of 30:02. Junior and new comer, Madison Bartoo, completed her first ever cross country race with a time of 32:09. Freshman Grace La Mar pulled in 5th for the team with a time of 33:29.
