Two Late Touchdowns Lift Knights Past Maconaquah
With just under seven minutes to go the Southwood Knights trailed Maconaquah 17-6 before Logan Barley hooked up with Jackson Simons twice to lift the Knights to a 20-17 comeback win over the Braves.
Maconaquah led 6-0 after the first stop before Gabe Lloyd scored from 5yds out to make it 6-6. The Braves would tack on a touchdown and two point conversion to lead 14-6 at the half.
Both defenses would dominate the third quarter with the score remaining the same heading to the fourth.
Maconaquah would connect on a 23yd field goal to increase their lead to 17-6 before the Knights got busy. Barley would find Simons from 35yds out to close the deficit to 17-12 with 6:56 remaining before doing it again from 28yds away with 1:48 on the clock for a 20-17 lead. Mac would hustle down the field before a Dawson Filip interception sealed the win.
