Meet Recap
The Wabash High School boys cross country team competed in the Huntington Invitational Saturday morning on the hilly course of Huntington University.

School size didn’t matter as the Apaches went toe to toe with much larger schools and finished 6th out of 19 teams. Fort Wayne Concordia finished 1st followed by Homestead (2nd), Noblesville (3rd), West Noble (4th), and Colombia City (5th).

While still getting into racing shape senior Dereck Vogel ran a lifetime personal best and finished 7th overall in a field of high caliber athletes. The PR’s didn’t stop there as seniors Caleb Callahan and Wyatt Davis, junior Jarrett Wilson, and freshman Dave Ford all ran personal lifetime bests in only their second meet of the season.

Up next for the Apaches is a trip to northern Indiana for the Penn Invite Saturday August 31st.
