Lady Squires Win Soccer Invite

The Manchester Lady Squires soccer team won the Manchester Invitation Saturday, defeating both North Miami and Logansport

Manchester came out strong in the opening half against North Miami as Emma Garriott, Lainey Shock, and Beletu Stout all had goals before half time. Emma Garriott had a second goal in the closing minutes of the second half to seal the 4-0 victory over the Lady Warriors.

In the second game Manchester and Logansport held each other scoreless through 2 halve and overtime. Great shots were taken by Bailey Mooney, Emma Garriott, Lainey Shock, and Gabbie Brewer but none of them were able to find the back of the net. Tough defense by Lex Donathan, Torina Runkel, Hadley Schannep, and Haley Clifford shut down the opposing team. Kindra Stetzel had 11 saves for the Lady Squires and blocked two shots during the shootout. Lex Donathan, Bailey Mooney, and Lainey Shock stepped up and nailed their shots during the PK while Logansport only put in 2. Kindra Stetzel was the tournament MVP and the Lady Squires took home the trophy!
