Wabash Boys & Girls Run At Terra Haute

The Wabash Apaches traveled down to Terre Haute for the TH Savings Bank Invitational. The girls ran in the HS girls Open Run with 200 other athletes.

Starting out as a trio for the first two miles, our seniors and junior eventually split with Sierra Hall coming first for the team and taking 70th place. Hall also ran a season best time of 26:04 with her teammate Angel Wehrly not far behind her at 26:26 in 76th place. Camille Kugler followed with a 26:44 and was able to take 80th place. Grace La Mar finished her race with a 29:40, while placing 160th.

The MS Lady Apaches made the trek down to Terre Haute for the TH Savings Bank Invitational Saturday September 4th. The girls ran in the MS girls Varsity Race against 77 athletes.

First for the team was Ivy Beamer with a time of 15:47 placing 50th over all. Audri Shidler followed in close behind with a time of 16:00 placing 54th. Ashleigh Hadley came next with a time of 16:17 placing 55th. Maya Howard trailed her teammates with a personal best of 16:32 and placing 57th. Next for the team was Chloe Cooper running a 17:21 and taking 61st place. Close behind came Ava Bishir placing 63rd with a time of 17:29. Mia Fairchild followed with a time of 18:06 and placing 67th. Olivia Shelton came in 71st place and running close to her personal best time with a 19:30. Karina Hernandez rounded out the team with a time of 22:49 and taking 76th place. The girls placed 7th over all as a team.

The Wabash boys cross country team traveled to Terre Haute Saturday to compete in the Terre Haute Savings Bank Invitational held at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross County Course. With a full squad for the first time this season the Apaches placed 8th out of 26 teams. Homestead won the meet with 81 points followed by Fishers, Center Grove, Valparaiso, Zionsville and Crown Point. Dereck Vogel led the Apaches with a 16th place finish. Caleb Callahan ran a new PR of 17:07. Jarrett Wilson equaled his lifetime PR of 17:28. Caelan McDougle, Jacob Fuchs, and Eli Callahan also ran PR’

The Wabash Middle School boys cross country team traveled to Terre Haute Saturday afternoon to compete in the Terre Haute Savings Bank Invitational. The boys finished 2nd led by strong performances from Kaden Vogel, Chase Howard, Nick Perkins, Trevor Daughtry, Quintin Coe, and Bobby Shull. Drew Guenin-Hodson, Jace Bullins, Colton Schuler, Casen Oswalt, and Maverick Sommers all ran PR’s
