Southwood Wins C Battle Over Northfield

The Southwood C football team defeated Northfield 24-6 Monday.

Defensively the Knights had a great all around effort in stopping the Norsemen. Northfield carried the ball 28 times for 72 yards. The D line played tough for four quarters and stopped the run game. The defense was highlighted by two forced fumbles by Braxton Worthington, one of those he recovered and took for a touchdown.

Offensively the Knights pass game never really was able to get going. The run game was highlighted by two long runs from Chase Lopez, one going for a score. The Knights though were able to take advantage of good field position and got scores.

Knights are now 3 – 1 and will host Wabash next Monday.
