CARMEL, Ind. – Manchester University junior Karly Eichenauer (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday September 25.
Eichenauer posted a perfect week in both doubles and singles action for Manchester. Eichenauer earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles at Defiance on Wednesday and was leading 6-4, 5-0 against Earlham before the No. 1 Quaker retired. Karly also teamed up with Morgan Brazo for a pair of wins at No. 1 doubles. Eichenauer has gone 4-3 in No. 1 singles play this year. Eichenauer’s efforts helped Manchester win its first match since October 2017.
Manchester will travel to IU-South Bend tonight before returning to HCAC play at home against Rose-Hulman on Saturday September 28.
