Lady Squires Pick Some Berries


The Manchester girls soccer team defeated Logansport 2-1 Monday in non-conference action.

Emma Garriott quickly put the lady Squires ahead on a break away goal.
It was a rough battle back and forth the remainder of the half.

The Squires defensive line of Haley Clifford, Lex Donathan, Torina Runkel, KaylaMetzger, Hadley Schannep, and Gabbie Brewer were able to hold the
Berries score less and it was 1-0 at the half.

Shortly into the second half, Lainey Shock sent a beautiful cross from
the corner and Bailey Mooney was able to finish at the net to make it

Beletu Stout, Eva Bazzoni, Ella Clifford, Karen Saucedo, and Mooney
did a great job controlling the middle throughout the second half.

The Berries scored on a breakaway down the side in the final minute of
the game to finalize the score 2-1.

Kindra Stetzel capped off a phenomenal night with 15 saves in the goal.

The lady Squires will finish their regular season Wednesday at home
for senior night against Peru.
