Knights Clinch TRC At Valley
The Southwood Knights traveled to Death Valley Friday, scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter to defeat Tippecanoe Valley 21-7.
The Knights would get the lone score of the first half when Alex Farr found Dawson Filip from 70yds out with 11:00 to go in the second quarter for a 7-0 lead at the half.
Valley would tie the score early in the fourth quarter before the Knights made some noise. Having Valley pinned deep in their own territory Dillon Filip would block a punt and fall on the ball in the end zone with 6:29 left in the game for a 14-7 lead. After another defensive stand Tristin Hayslett would break loose from 27yds out with 5:59 on the clock for the 21-7 lead.
The Southwood defense would continue to dominate the Vikings, holding on for the 21-7 win
