Norse Pick Up First Win
The Northfield Norse claimed their first win of the year defeating Southern Wells in the Raiderdome 56-53 Tuesday.
Clayton Tomlinson led the way with 17 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. With those 7 assists Tomlinson now passed 200 for his career at 202.
With the Norse clinging to a lead Graydon Holmes scored 10 of his 15 points in the third quarter as the Norse pushed out a lead that they would not relinquish. Holmes also added a game high 8 rebounds.The unsung hero of the night was Jayden Peas who defended high scoring Kreigh Roush of the Raiders in the second half and added 6 points of his own. Kaleb Krom added a career high 6 points. Jarret Shafer battled all night and finished with 6 points as the freshman duo of Paul Treska and Dillon Tomlinson added 4 and 2 respectively. The Norse are now (1-3) and will play at Wabash on Friday night.
The JV continued their winning ways moving to (4-0) with their win. Eli Kroh led the way with 10 points and Jaxton Peas added 7.
