Results from Wednesday and Thursday junior high games
Manchester 7th grade girls defeated Whitko 27-8 last night. Scoring was Anna Bishir with 9, London Spangle and Brynn Smith with 4, and adding 2 was Ryah Vawter, Hanna Stout, Molly Schannep, Macy Greer, and Karsyn Kamphues.
Manchester 8th grade girls defeated Whitko 27-7
Kelsey Blum- 6 points, Gracie Lauer- 7 points, Kaidyn Howard- 6 points, Mckelvey Espeset- 2 points, Brianna Wert- 2 points, Leyna Borgman- 6 points.
The Wabash 7th grade girls fell to Logansport 22-21
Having a slow start in the first half, the Apaches were down by 8 going into the third quarter. Holding their own and coming back and out-scoring Logansport in the fourth quarter, the Apaches shortened the lead as the minutes passed. Walter hitting over 50% from the free throw line, giving her her points on the board helped contribute to the scoring path the Apaches began to take. Hartley and Braun were able to grab some much needed rebounds while Judy and McWhirt hustled to help stop their opponents, holding them to only a 2 point play. With a phenomenal last minute shot made by Honeycutt on the three-point line, the Apaches ended the game with a one point differential. The Apaches came home with 21 rebounds and 14 steals.
