On Saturday the Lady Norse traveled to Manchester to play in a shoot out.

The Lady Norse showed they were awake at 8 am and started out hot in their first game vs Manchester’s 5th grade! Great ball movement and team play put 10 girls in the scoring column! Faith Krom & Saige Martin led all scorers with 8, Viv Haupert, Ayla Dale, Addy Sorg, Emma Wilson, Millie Higgins & Claire Brainard all had 4 points, and Laney Haupert & Nichole Fisher rounded out the scoring w a bucket each to beat Manchester 44-14.

In game two, the Norse were down to a very aggressive N Miami team at halftime 12-16. The Lady Norse showed a lot of heart, grit & determination and battled back to tie the score at the end of the 3rd quarter. The teams played even in the fourth to push it to overtime. Due to trying to keep the shootout somewhat on-time, the game ended in a tie at the end of OT w a score of 22-22. Faith Krom had 6, Ayla Dale, Laney & Viv Haupert each had 4, and Claire Brainard & Nichole Fisher each added a bucket. Way to battle, Lady Norse!

In game 3, the Lady Norse were too much for an inexperienced 4th grade Manchester team. By halftime, the Norse were up 24-0. We were proud of the Norse as they showed great sportsmanship and encouraged the young team in the second half.
