Wabash JH VB Tops Manchester

The Wabash and Manchester junior high volleyball teams played each other Thursday.

Wabash won the 7th grade contest 23-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Mya Whitaker had 13 Points, including 4 Aces, an Assist, 2 Kills, a Service Reception and a Dig.

Bryleigh Boggs had 12 Service Points, including 8 Aces, 2 Kills, 4 Digs and an Assist.

Brianna Brooks had 4 Service Points, including 3 Aces, and 3 Service Receptions.

Lexi Soden had 3 Service Points, including an Ace, a Kill, 2 Assists, 2 Service Receptions and 1 Dig.

Kendall France had a Service Point, 2 Assists, 2 Kills, 5 Digs and 7 Service Receptions.

Olivia Shepler had a Service Point, 2 Kills, and 3 Digs.

Elli Hall had 4 Service Receptions, a Dig, a Kill, a Stuff Block and an Assist.

Olivia Burns had a Kill, a Dig, and 2 Service Receptions.

Amaya Sellers had 3 Digs.

Haylee Friend had 2 Digs.

Wabash won the 8th grade contest in three games.

Highlights from the game include Sam Powell’s 17 serves with 5 assists; Ella Hartley’s 4 digs and 2 kills; Jillian Sailor’s 8 serves and 3 assists. Additional information: Sammie Walters and Shaylee Jacobs contributed to Wabash’s defense on the front line by getting a combined total of 3 blocks. Of the 17 serves for Sam Powell she earned 5 aces and 5 out of Jillian Sailors’ 8 serves were also aces.
