Lady Apaches Fall In Final Minute

The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team lost their first game of the season Saturday 1-0 to conference opponent Rochester.

After playing even with Rochester for almost the entire game, Rochester put one away in the last minute of regulation.

Rylee Yoakum, Isabelle Davis, Madi Lutz, Nici Gunderman, Ashley Province and Libby Mattern all had shots on goal for the Apaches.

Goalkeeper Hannah Layne had 16 saves on the game and strong defensive minutes for Morgan Mallow, Kalista Ballshmidt, Kiersten O’Neil, Davis, Gunderman and Kiana Jones.

The Lady Apaches move to 3-1-1 on the season and 3-1 in conference play. The Lady Apaches take the field again next Thursday at Peru.
