Lady Squires Shut Out Culver

The Manchester girls soccer team defeated Culver Community Wednesday at home 5-0.

Manchester came out quick and scored back to back goals to lead 2-0. Beletu Stout fought hard and was able to break free for the first goal of the game and Lainey Shock had the second goal of the game with a beautiful shot from 20 yards out. The lady squires battled back and forth the rest of the half. Torina Runkel stepped up and blocked a second chance from Culver to keep the game 2-0 at the half.

Emma Garriot was fouled in the box half way through the second half and Kindra Stetzel came up to finish the PK and get her first goal of her career. Emma Garriot then had a beautiful finish and Beletu Stout finished with a long shot that dropped in over the keepers head. Kayla Metzger, Torina Runkel, Ella Clifford, and Lex Donathan played a great defensive game and helping hold Culver scoreless. Kindra Stetzel had 6 saves and the shut out!
