Wabash JH Sweeps North Miami


The Wabash junior high volleyball teams swept a pair of matches over North Miami Wednesday.

The Wabash 7th grade won 25-24, 25-14.

Kendall France led her team with 11 Service Points, including 8 Aces, and 4 Service Receptions.

Lexi Soden had 6 Service Points, including an Ace, and 2 Assists.

Haylee Friend had 5 Service Points, including 3 Aces.

Bryleigh Boggs had 4 Service Points, including 2 Aces, 5 Service Receptions, a Kill and a Stuff Block.

Brianna Brooks had 2 Service Points, including an Ace, 2 Kills, an Assist, 3 Digs and 2 Service Receptions.

Mya Whitaker had 2 Service Points, including an Ace, 4 Assists, and 2 Service Receptions.

Elli Hall had 2 Kills and a Stuff Block.

Olivia Burns and Amaya Sellers each had a Service Reception.

Karlee Bearman had a Stuff Block.

Emma Ryder had a Kill.

The Wabash 8th grade won 25-13, 25-14

Contributing the Wabash’s hitting performance was Ella Vander Velden with six kills and one stuffed block, Shaylee Jacobs with four kills, Ella Hartley with two, and Sammie Walters and Jillian Sailors both bringing in one kill for the night. In addition to Wabash’s front line attack Sam Powell had six assists and Jillian Sailors was the leading server with 6 aces for a combined total of 15 serves. On the defensive end key players include Janika Stumbo, Ella Vander Velden, Ella Hartley, Sammie Walters, and Gretta France.
