Lady Squires Win In Shoot Out

The Manchester girls soccer team defeated Rochester in TRC action Monday.

Rochester scored first on an own goal off a corner kick and sent the game 1-0 into halftime. A tough battle back and forth through the second half but Hadley Schannep got her first goal of the season off a cross from Lainey Shock. Tough defense by Torina Runkel, Lex Donathan, Ella Clifford, and Kayla Metzger kept the game even through the overtime periods. In the shoot out Lex Donathan, Ella Clifford, and Beletu Stout were able to find net and put the ladies up 3-2 for the win.

Manchester will ply again Wednesday at home against Maconaquah.
