Third Quarter Blunders Cost Norse

The Northfield boys fell to Madison Grant 63-45 Saturday.

With the score tied at 40 with 1:08 to go in the third quarter the game swung on a foul call and ensuing technical that allowed Madison Grant to pull away and take a 7 point lead.

Hot shooting by MG’s Kade Howell led the Argylls to outscore the Norse 25-10 in the fourth for the final margin

For the Norse, Clayton Tomlinson. scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Dillon Tomlinson also hit double figures with 11. Jayden Peas continues to play through an injury and scored 6 points. Alex Haupert played outstanding defense all night and finished with 4 points and led the team with 3 steals and 3 assists. Trent Osborn, Eli Kroh and Kaleb Krom each scored 2 points each.

The Norse fall to 3-6 and travel to North Miami on Thursday in a TRC match up. The JV also fell to 3-6 in their loss as Jaxton Peas continued to be a standout for the JV Norse
