The Northfield 6th Grade Girls Basketball team came out on fire against Southwood Wednesday.
They played great team ball getting 5 players in the scoring column in the 1st game. Emma Wilson led the team with a Double- Double putting up 10 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Ayla Dale & Faith Krom added 8 points each. Faith was a big presence on the boards as well with 10 rebounds. Claire Brainard and Nichole Fisher completed the scoring effort with 2 pts each. Mikayla Meyer led the defensive effort by shutting down their top scorer! The Lady Norse had a great first game by defeating the Knights by a score of 30 – 22.
The 6th Grade Lady Norse continued their dominance of the Knights in Game 2 with a Win of 32-0. Addy Sorg was a beast on the boards! She grabbed 15 rebounds and led the team with 10 points … another Double Double for the night! Emme Hanes and Kaedence Mitchell each added 6 points and played hard nosed defense. Lilli Koonce put up 4 points and Nichole Fisher added a bucket to round out the scoring column. The Lady Norse played great team ball with 9 different girls scoring on the night. They also played tough defense to help them begin the season with two wins!
