Norse Get Stung By Long Ball
The Maconaquah Braves hit 16 three pointers in route to an 88-54 win over Northfield Wednesday.
The Braves hit 6 threes in the second quarter breaking upon a close game. The Norse had it cut to nine on several occasions with the ball but Maconaquah closed the door on the Norse at the half with a barrage of threes.
Clayton Tomlinson led the Norse with 19 points, 4 assists and 4 steals as is now 15 points away from 1000 for his career.
Jayden Peas scored 13 points, Dillon Tomlinson reached double figures again with 10. Eli Kroh and 4 points off the bench, Alex Haupert scored 3. Kaleb Krom also scored 3 points and led the team with 6 rebounds. Jake Halderman added 2 points and 4 rebounds and Noah Burkhart had three rebounds off the bench. The Norse are now 6-13.
The JV dropped a hard fought 40-34 game. Eric Tracy led the way with 9 points, Jaxton Peas scored 8 as Noah Burkhart had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Kody Stambaugh and CJ Long each scored 4.
