The Southwood baseball team split a double header with Eastbrook Saturday, losing the second game to snap their 13 game win streak.
The Knights won game one 9-6/
Offensive leaders included:
Mo Lloyd 3 for 3 with a double, a home run, and 4 RBIs
Logan Barley 3 for 4 with a double, a triple, 3 runs scored and an RBI
Alex Farr 2 for 3 with a walk and a run scored
Tristin Hayslett 2 for 4 with a double
Koby Thomas 1 for 2 with two Sac flies, and a home run and 4 RBIs
Connor Rich was 1 for 5 with two runs scored
On the mound, Blayne Hamilton started the game and lasted 3 1/3. He allowed 6 runs (5 earned) on 6 hits. He struck out three and walked three.
Carson Rich came in for relief and allowed 0 runs on 2 hits over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out 3 and didn’t walk a batter.
Logan Barley pitched the final two innings and getting the win in relief. He allowed 0 runs on two hits. He struck out 1 and didn’t walk a batter.
Southwood fell in game two 13-10

On the mound, Cole Winer started the game and was great through 5. He ended up going 5 1/3 innings. He allowed 9 runs, all earned on 8 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 4. Alex Farr entered in relief and allowed the final 4 runs (3 earned) on 1 hit. He walked 4 and struck out 2.
The Knights will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Whitko for another big conference matchup at 5pm. The Knights are currently 17-3 and 7-0 in the TRC. With a win Monday or a Wabash loss, the Knights will claim at least a guarantee of a share of the TRC title.
