The Northfield cross country teams ran in the South Adams Invite Saturday.
Lady Norse cross country placed 11th at the South Adams Invite with Mara Zolman leading the team to the finish in 26th place with a time of 23:40. Trinity Bever came was 2nd for the Lady Norse in a time of 24:22 at 36th place. Bringing in the rest of the Lady Norse was Madeline Moore in 64th, Anna Kissle in 73rd, Asia Miller in 74th and Natalee Keller in 105th. The team finished with 248 points. Our next invite will be Tuesday at Wabash City Park.
The Norse boys cross country placed 15th at the South Adams Invite with Layne Denton bringing home a medal for 24th place in a time of 18:48. Rounding out the Norse team was Steven Kowalczuk in 66th, Kamden Carpenter in 74th, John Nesler in 78th and Alex Reed in 95th. We will be at the Wabash City Park Tuesday evening for the Wabash Invite.
Kaleigh Rice and Laney Haupert earned medals finishing 3rd and 5th respectively on Saturday to lead the Norse. Also earning a medal on the day was Teagan Baer with her 18th place finish. Ali Copeland turned in a season best performance and Amarah Bowers completed the scoring for the Lady Norse. In a 13-team race only 12 points separated 2nd through 6th place. The Lady Norse were very competitive. Laney’s time also equaled her season best. Way to bring your best efforts on the day.
Tate Barlow ran a strong race finishing in 11:28 to finish 5th overall earning a medal on the day. The Norse finished 6th out of 18 teams. Also scoring for the Norse was Bode Sorg, Wyatt Bucher, Holten Satterthwaite, Preston Moore and Ty Leming’s finish broke the tie with Woodlan as he came in ahead of Woodlan’s 6th man. Turning in season best performances was Xavier Roark, Gavin Lester and Ty Leming. Once again, Nate Hodson ran another lifetime best. With 2 weeks left until RRC, the Norse are beginning to run their best times of the season. Nice work gentlemen!
