Lady Apache Soccer Falls To Rochester
The Wabash Lady Apaches traveled to Rochester for conference play Wednesday, falling to the Zebras 7-1.
Wabash played a tough 1st half, holding Rochester to 2 goals and applying offensive pressure with shots from Yoakum, Cordes, Province and Adams. A great defensive effort the entire game from Seniors Ballschmidt and Cordes and junior Mattern. Junior goalkeeper Layne had a tremendous night in goal with 31 saves. The Lady Apaches found the net in the 2nd half when sophomore Adams once again drew a penalty in the box and Yoakum put it away. The Lady Apaches are back in action again Thursday night when they look to finish the lightning delayed game against Manchester.
