The Wabash Boys Soccer team wound up conference play with a 6-0 win at North Miami. The victory assures the Apaches at least a share of the TRC title for the 2021 season.

The offense got started early when Brodie Craft made a run up the right sideline and laced a cross into Jacob France who volleyed it into the net. Kolton Wilson got on the scoresheet soon after with a top-bins shot. Solomon France rounded out the first-half scoring by making a penalty kick and, just before halftime, curving a free-kick past the keeper from 25 yards out.

The 4-0 halftime lead wasn’t enough for the Wabash attackers. They kept looking for scoring chances. Jacob France scored his second goal of the game off a rebound. A few minutes later Troy Guenin-Hodson put one in to wrap up the scoring.

Solid defensive play by Andrew Dinkins, Will Galley, Brodie Craft, and Spencer Stout limited North Miami to 1 shot on goal which was saved by Isaac Byers with a dramatic diving effort. Greyson DeBoard saw 60 scoreless minutes in goal as well.

Wabash is now 5-1 in the TRC and awaits the outcome of a few other games to determine whether they sit alone at the top of the conference or if they have to share the honor. Thursday they will face Carroll (Flora) in the last game of the regular season. The kickoff will be at 6 pm at Alumni Field.
