The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team fell to North Miami 1-0 Tuesday.
The Lady Apaches found themselves down 1 goal, but continued to apply offensive pressure from Yoakum, Adams, Hipskind, Perez, Mattern and Ballshmidt. Defensively Ballshmidt and Cordes played their heart out and Mattern continue to prove herself as a our utility player playing midfield, stopper and sweeper. Goalkeeper Layne had another fantastic night in goal, with 9 saves on the night. Wabash was awarded a pk after a handball in the box, but was unable to capitalize on it. The Lady Apaches are back in action as they open up in sectional play next week against Eastbrook, with Wabash hosting the sectional for the first time in school history.
