All four county wrestling teams participated in the Peru sectional Saturday.

Rochester won the sectional. Manchester placed 4th, Northfield 6th, Wabash 8th, Southwood 10th.

Notes from each school.

Senior Dylan Stroud won his 4th straight Sectional Title and Junior Zach France won his 2nd straight title.
The Squires finish in 4th place at the Peru Sectional, finishing with 42.5 more points than Lewis Cass.

Squires Seven Regional Qualifiers:
132 Dylan Stroud (29-0) placed 1st and scored 25.5 team points.
145 Isaiah Burlingame (17-12) placed 4th and scored 12.0 team points.
152 Jordan Ayres (13-5) placed 2nd and scored 18.0 team points.
160 Dominic Lincoln (21-5) placed 3rd and scored 17.0 team points.
170 Zach France (31-3) placed 1st and scored 26.0 team points.
195 Trevor Dill (23-11) placed 3rd and scored 18.0 team points.
220 Preston Duffy (12-6) placed 2nd and scored 18.0 team points.

Squires 2 Alternates:
120 Jordan Owens (18-14) placed 5th and scored 10.0 team points.
138 Jose Cortes (14-14) placed 5th and scored 10.0 team points.

Senior Kevin Buzzard finished 5th going 2-2 for the day finishing his season with a 16-10 record. Senior Cody Copeland finished 5th going 2-2 for the day finishing his season with a 12-10 record. Senior Mason Osborn finished 5th going 2-2 for the day finishing final high school season with a 22-5 record. Also finishing 5th were Freshman Kameron Pratt (21-8 season record), Sophomores Layne Denton (9-12 season record) and Dylan Osborn (15-13). Senior Jaydan Goshert won the 182lbs weight class going 3-0 (17-1 current season record) on the day, advancing to Regionals at Maconaquah next Saturday.

Individually for Southwood: 126 Hayden Jones was 2-2 on the day and finished 5th with a 10-6 victory over Trevor Shake of Northfield; 160 Braxton Worthington was 2-2 on the day and finished 5th with a fall in overtime against Arthur Dominique of Peru; 145 Logan Hiner picked up a first round victory by fall 5:10; 106 Bryant Pattee, 170 John White, and 285 Ayden Stouffer also competed.

We have not received any info from Wabash. We do know Jared Brooks was runner up and headed to the regional.
