Josie Briner punched her ticket to the state finals later this week by easily winning the 200 IM, leading Manchester to a 10th place finish at the Warsaw swimming Sectional.
Briner also finished second in the 100 butterfly. The 200 medley relay team of Miriam Struble-Hedstrom, Hannah Eberly, Briner, and Gracie Dale and the 200 freestyle relay team of Eberly, Dale, Nele Bichler, and Briner finished 8th. Kaesyn Lester improved her position in the 500 freestyle by finishing 14th with another 6 second drop. Eberly and Bichler swam well in the 100 breaststroke to finish 12th and 15th respectively. The 400 freestyle relay team of Evyn Fox, Sophie Anglin, Bichler, and Lester closed the meet with a 9th place effort. Briner will compete in the 200 IM on Friday night at the IHSAA State Finals at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis.
