Norse Baseball Falls In Opener
The Northfield baseball team gave up 8 runs in the middle two innings in an 11-5 loss to Whitko Monday.
After giving up two runs in the top of the first the Norse would tie the score in the bottom of the inning. D Tomlinson doubles on a line drive to right fielder. B McKillip walks. R Rosen grounds into fielder’s choice, Rosen out advancing to 1st. D Tomlinson scores. B McKillip advances to 3rd. N Burkhart grounds out, McKillip scores.
The Norse gave up 8 runs in the fourth and fifth innings before picking up a run in the fifth and two in the seventh.
