The Wabash Middle School Baseball team opens the season with a double header against Northfield.

Game 1:

Wabash Apaches MS’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Wabash Apaches MS defeated Northfield 7-2 on Thursday. Keaton Lane induced a groundout from Leming to get the last out of the game.

Wabash Apaches MS opened up scoring in the first inning, when Lane singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Carter Booth led things off on the hill for Wabash Apaches MS. The hurler lasted three and a third innings, allowing zero hits and two runs while striking out seven.

Leming led things off on the mound for Northfield. The bulldog went three innings, allowing seven runs on six hits and striking out six.

Derek Reed led Wabash Apaches MS with two hits in two at bats.

Game 2:

Wabash Apaches MS defeated Northfield 4-3 on Thursday.

In the first inning, Northfield got their offense started. Hayslett grounded out, scoring one run.

Eli Mattern was on the hill for Wabash Apaches MS. The pitcher went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out three.

Height was on the pitcher’s mound for Northfield. The pitcher lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking one. Hayslett and Dubois entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Samuel Harris and Clay Shepler each collected one hit to lead Wabash Apaches MS.
