Wabash Tennis Third At Jimtown

After a delayed start due to the low temperature, the Lady Tennis Apaches fought hard at the Jimtown Invitational Saturday.

In the first round the Lady Tennis Apaches played Wawasee and lost a close match 2-3 with Elena Olalla at 2 singles and Talia Carrillo at 3 singles earning team points at their positions.

In the second round versus Jimtown the Lady Tennis Apaches earned their first team win of the season with a 3-2 score! All three singles positions, Annie Cole, Elena Olalla, and Talia Carrillo won their matches!

In the final round against South Bend Adams, the Lady Tennis Apaches lost 1-4 in a match that could have gone either way at severeal positons. 3 singles (Talia Carrillo) won her match for a sweep of the day at her position.

The Lady Tennis Apaches doubles teams fought hard in each of their matches and showed a lot of grit though their scores didn’t always reflect it. It is still early in the season and we only expect to improve.
