Red Sox Hand Yankees First Loss

The Crossroads Bank Red Sox defeated the Kendall Electric Yankees 9-7 in 4 innings Tuesday.

Ashton Shepler went 2 for 2 with a double and 3 RBI for the Red Sox. Tristan Sluss went 2 for 2 with an RBI. R.J. Harris added a double and 2 RBI while Cade Pershing, Jameson Wallen, Jordan Fields, and Tyson Chambers all singled for the Red Sox. Jordan Fields started on the mound for the Red Sox picking up the win allowing 4 hits and striking out 6 in 3 innings. R.J. Harris came on to earn the save in the bottom of the 4th. Mackey Sorg led the Yankees at the plate going 2 for 3 with a double. Asa Dawes added a single and 3 RBI while Bodie Sorg drove in 2 runs with a single. Dylan Hurst and Eli Shellhammer each added a single for the Yankees. Bodie Sorg took the loss for the Yankees striking out 3 in 2 innings. The Red Sox are now 2-2 while the Yankees suffered their first loss of the season and are now 3-1.
