The Wabash Boys Soccer team went 1-1 in Saturday’s Jamboree hosted by Mississinewa. The guys earned a 3-1 win over Eastbrook before falling to Oak Hill 0-2 in the second session.

In the Eastbrook session, Kolton Wilson scored the first goal for the Apaches by heading in a free kick served up by Solomon France. Eastbrook got an equalizer a few minutes later. The second Wabash goal was the result of the relentless pressure up top by Jacob France and Troy Guenin-Hodson. A Wabash cross through the middle was misplayed by an Eastbrook defender for an own-goal to put Wabash up 2-1. Wabash’s third goal of the game came on a breakaway up the middle by Jacob France who calmly slotted home the final goal of the session.

Wabash had to turn around quickly to face Oak Hill in the second session. Oak Hill scored first on a defensive miscue by the Apache defense. Wabash’s defense tightened up soon after as Will Galley and Spencer Stout made some great stops. Oak Hill scored their second goal off a cornerkick. Coleson Kugler had Wabash’s only shot on goal in the second session. Isaac Byers ended the day with 3 saves.

Wabash returns to action on Thursday when they host Mississinewa at Alumni. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 pm.
