Wabash MS Cross Country Runs At North Miami

The Wabash Middle School cross country teams ran in the North Miami Invite Tuesday.

The girls ended up place 2nd as a team

Coming in first for the team was 5th grader Tessa Cordes in 6th place and a time of 13:28. Following Cordes was 8th grader Chloe Cooper, running in 9th place and tying her career PR at 13:52. Right behind Cooper was another 8th grader, Mallory Tart. Tart finished in 11th place and getting a time of 13:59. Coming in next for the team was one of our new 8th graders, Josie Bailey in 14th place. Josie ran a time of 14:34. Next was 5th grader, Briar Stoffel, in a time of 15:56 and taking 23rd place overall. Following behind her was 8th grader Mia Fairchild. Fairchild ran a 16:07 and took 26th place. Right behind Mia came another 8th grader, Sally Harrell, in 27th place and running a time of 16:30. Kylie Mickelson, a 5th grader, came in 28th place with a time of 16:42. Following Mickelson was our lone 7th grader, Caitlyn Shidler, in 31st place. Shidler ran a 17:19 to seal her placement. Rounding out the team was Cora Moorefield, a new 8th grader, running a time of 20:46 and taking home 34th place.

With a team score of 34 points the Apaches came away with the victory over 4 other teams in the race.

Ezra Church led the way for Wabash coming in 1st overall out of 35 total runners. Luis Trejo came in 2nd for Wabash. The rest of the Apaches also ran a great race with Kamden Oswalt coming in 7th, Beckett Shaw 11th, Jacoby Amburgey 13th, Landen Fisher 14th, Alex Perkins 18th, Demetri Shull 24th, Ayden Hanline 25th, and Mason Tart 30th. Wabash will return to action next Saturday at the Terre Haute Savings Bank Invitational.
