Lady Squires Soccer Falls To Western

Manchester Lady Squires soccer came out battling against a tough Western squad Saturday.

Addison Brubaker, Ella Clifford, Karsyn Kampheus, Maggie Onderko-White and Chase Blevins played amazing defense shutting down the Panter attacks. It was back and forth thoughout the game but Western was able to score late into the first half. Campbell Bolinger, Samantha Shock, Jessi Perez, Aymia Miller and Brookelynn Buzzard were all able to get shots off but unable to finish. Western was able to score again in the second half to finalize the score 2-0. Grace smith had a huge game in goal with 14 saves.

Western advanced to beat Logansport 9-2 and win the invite.

In the second game of the Invite Manchester took on South Adams in a battle for third place. It was another back and forth game for the Squires. Both teams were making strong attacks and the respective defensive players were able to get the stops. It was tied at 0 going into the second half. South Adams was able to score first on a breakaway. Manchester was able to rally as Jessi Perez assisted Brookelyn Buzzard to tie the game. As the game was headed into overtime, the game was terminated due to a decision by the South Adams coach. Manchester was determined the winner. Grace Smith had 3 saves.
