Lady Apaches Suffer First Soccer Loss

The Wabash Lady Apaches lost their first game of the season to a very strong Mississinewa team.

After going into halftime down 1-0, the Lady Apaches came out strong in the 2nd half with multiple scoring opportunities lead by senior Rylee Yoakum. Yoakum and junior Irma Robles put shots on goal for Wabash. Junior Natalie Adams, junior Kiana Jones, senior Libby Mattern, sophomore Abby Hipsking and sophmore Kait Honeycutt provided really strong minutes for Wabash, playing both sides of the ball working to contain the strong Mississinewa passing game and distributing to provide scoring opportunites for Wabash. Senior goalkeeper Hannah Layne had an amazing game with 20 saves! The Lady Apaches move to 3-1 on the season and 3-0 in the TRC. Wabash is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Marion to take on the Lady Giants.
