The scoreboard may have been malfunctioning Tuesday at Tippecanoe Valley however that wasn’t true for the Lady Jimtown Jimmies laced cleats as they powered in eight first half goals on their way to an 8-0 lead at the break.

Desperate to get on the board, Valley saw a small light shine when at the 42-minute mark Senior Jessica Brito, after being fouled, placed a free kick down just outside the eighteen and sailed it over the wall and the keepers’ outstretched hands. That would be the Lady Vikings only score of the match as Jimtown went on and scored two more tallies in the second half, the final one at the 71-minute mark ending the match at 10-1 (9 goal Mercy Rule).

Valley moves to 1-3-1, (1-1 in TRC).

Jetta Hughes had nine saves in the match.

Valley plays two matches Saturday 9/3/22 at the Elkhart Tournament. Their first match is at 10;00 am against Lakeland High School with a second consolation or championship match being played at 12:30 pm. The cost is $6.00 for adults and students.
