Manchester Girls Soccer Ties Eastbrook

The Manchester girls soccer team tied Eastbrook 1-1 Thursday.

The girls soccer team got off to a slow start tonight against the Lady Panthers. Eastbrook possessed the ball well to start the game and took the lead with a goal about halfway through the first half.

For the rest of the game, the Lady Squire defense held strong, led by Addison Brubaker, Ella Clifford, Maggie Onderko-White, and Chase Blevins. Grace Smith came up with 6 saves in the net. With a better second half effort, the Lady Squires came battling back. They had multiple shot attempts from Sam Shock, Brookelynn Buzzard, Campbell Bolinger, Molly Schannep, and Jessi Perez. The ladies finally found the back of the net from a PK by Jenni Perez after Jessi Perez got fouled in the box. Despite the 12 shot attempts, the ladies fell short of another goal as the game ended 1-1.
