The Wabash cross country teams ran in the IWU Invite Saturday.

The Wabash girls finished 8th. First for the HS lady Apaches was our junior, Calisen Kugler, in 41st place with a time of 24:43. Following Kugler was freshman, Haylee Friend. Friend finish in 43rd place with a time of 24:47. Ivy Beamer, our team sophomore, raced to the finish in 49th place and running 25:22. Following Beamer was freshman Raegan Jones in 58th place and running a 25:56. Next up was another freshman, Ava Bishir, coming in at 26:32 and taking 63rd place. Next for the team was Irma Robles, a junior, with a PR of 27:06 in 69th place. Following close to Robles was Maya Howard, another freshman this season, coming in at 28:27 in 82nd place overall. Grace La Mar, the team senior, crossed the line in 95th place with a time of 30:53 and rounding out the team.

The Wabash High School boys cross country team competed in the IWU Invitational coming in 12th out of 21 complete teams. Brett Shull was the first Apache to cross the coming in 30th followed by Kasen Oswalt in 35th, Chase Howard in 40th, Kristian Stanton in 127th, Matthew Niles in 130th, and Maverick Sommers in 152nd.

The Wabash junior high girls finished fourth. Coming in first for the team was 8th grader Mallory Tart running a time of 14:16 and medaling at 11th place. Josie Bailey another 8th grader, came in a medaling place of 33rd with a time of 15:23. Jersey Montgomery, a 5th grader, came next in a medaling place of 34th and running a PR at 15:28. Right behind her was her 8th grade teammate, Chloe Cooper. Cooper came in 35th place, earning a medal with a time of 15:30. Next up was 5th grader Sutton Stoffel, running a time of 15:52.2 and taking 40th place. Flying in almost in stride with Stoffel was 8th grader Rinka Higuera. Higuera ran in at 15:52.6 and took 41st place. Coming in next for the team was Briar Stoffel, a 5th grader, in 57th place and racing a time of 16:57. Following behind her was 8th grader Mia Fairchild. Fairchild ran a 17:10 and she took 63rd place. Right behind Fairchild came another 5th grader, Charlotte Spring. Charlotte ran a time of 17:32 and came in 65th place. Behind Spring was Sienna Stoffel, a 6th grader, in 72nd place and running a 18:18. Running her first race of the season was 5th grader Kinslee McBride in a time of 20:25 and taking 84th place overall. Quinn Myers, an 8th grader, came in at a time of 20:27 and taking 86th place. Following her was Kylie Mickelson, another 5th grader, running a time of 20:29 and taking 87th place. Rounding out the Apache crew was Allayna Renn, a 6th grader, running a 20:40 and closing in at 91st place.

The Wabash Middle School Boys Cross Country Team competed in the IWU Invitational Saturday coming in 3rd out of 10 teams. Ezra Church was the individual race winner out of 111 competitors. Luis Trejo came in 4th place with Kamden Oswalt a couple places behind in 8th place. Landen Fisher finished in 40th, Jacoby Amburgey 60th, Alex Perkins 61st, Demetri Shull 98th, and Mason Tart 99th. The middle school team will be back in action Tuesday when they race against RJ Baskett, and Peru.
