Knights Defeat Norse In Tale Of Two Halves
The Northfield and Southwood football teams had a shootout in the first half before the defenses took over in the second. The Knights defeated the Norse 35-21.
The Knights would cross the goal line first when Mo Lloyd score from 7yds out to give Southwood a 7-0 lead. the Norse would answer whenMason Fisher score from 3yds away to make it 7-7 after one.
Cole Winer would score early in the second to give Southwood a 13-7 lead before Fisher scampered for 62yds to put Northfield up 14-13. Winer would then find Lloyd from 30yds out to put the Knights back up 21-14 before Jordan Kinsey made it 21-21. Winer and Lloyd would connect one more time before the half to give Southwood a 28-21 lead.
The lone score in the second half came in the fourth quarter when Winer scored from a yard out for the 35-21 final.
