The Death Valley Football team picked up their 4th win of the season tonight as they defeated Manchester 43-13.

Junior Wade Jones led the team with 116 total yards, 57 on the ground and 59 through the air. Junior Nate Parker was a big factor on the ground with 86 rushing yards. Junior Cody Eastgate threw the ball for 105 with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. The Vikings were able to rack up 304 total offensive yards with 105 yards through the air and 199 yards on the ground.

The Wrecking Crew Defence continued to show their dominance against the run as they gave the Squires -3 yards rushing. Manchester’s yardage came through the air as they picked up 186 passing yards. The defence held the Squires to only 9 first downs and only allowed 3 third down conversions on 11 attempts. Senior Noah Prater led the team with 4 solo tackles. Senior Landon Durkes was close behind with 3 tackles.

The Vikings are now 4-0 (3-0 TRC) and look to remain undefeated next week in the Battle for the Bell against rival Rochester. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.

Great weather for the Valley invitational.
The kids had a good day of running. Chesnee Miller finished 5th over all. McKenna Lowe and Ava Minix both had Pr’s on the day.
On the boys side they had a good day. But still have some progress to make. Christopher Marquez had a Pr for the season.
