Outside The County-Maconaquah
Results from Maconaquah for Wednesday, September 14th
The team started slow against a very defensive minded Tri-Central. The Trojans played the entire game with 5 defenders blocking the goal. This forced our offense to try to find small holes to play thru and we struggled early. However, on the flip side, this also didn’t require our defense to be tested. On the night we found the goal four times on four assists. 3 of the goals were off corner kicks.
Leading Maconaquah in goals was Bauer Maple with 2, Connor Kubly and Kyler Hanson each scored 1. Zach Sparks recorded 2 assists on corner kicks and Kevin Nord assisted on the other corner kick. Bennett Isenburg recorded an assist to Maple on a thru ball.
For the season, the Braves now have 7 shut out wins as our defense has been sound. The team next plays tomorrow night (Thursday) at home against a very tough Mississinewa team who has dominated most recent meetings.
