Wabash Boys Soccer picked up their third straight win Thursday night and continued their high-scoring ways against Tri-Central.

Troy Guenin-Hodson led the Apache attack scoring in the second minute of the game by collecting a Kolton Wilson pass and driving the ball into the box to finish near post. Just two minutes later, a Guenin-Hodson corner kick bent with the wind and beat the keeper to put Wabash up 2-0. Jacob France scored his 16th goal of the season off an assist by Solomon France in the seventh minute of the game. Later, Solomon France scored two goals of his own off of Guenin-Hodson assists to put Wabash up 5-0 at the half.

In the second half, Wabash was facing the gusty wind which slowed down their play. The wind didn’t slow down Guenin-Hodson, though as he charged the Tri-Central keeper to finish a loose ball and complete his second hat trick in two games. Ty Carpenter got on the scoresheet with about 10 minutes to go when he scored off a Jacob France assist.

The Wabash defense logged another shutout as they worked well to deny the Trojans good looks at goal. The backline of Prestyn Jones, Will Galley, Spencer Stout, and Brodie Craft was patient and effective once they got the ball. Isaac Byers ended the match with five saves.

Wabash will finish their TRC season on Monday when they host North Miami for Senior Night. Kickoff is slated for 6 pm at Alumni Field.
