Apaches Wrap Up TRC Season
Wabash Boys Soccer wrapped up their TRC season with a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over North Miami Monday.
Wabash dominated the attack but gave up the first goal of the game on the Warriors’ only shot on goal in the first half. The Apaches kept working offensively and finally got the equalizer with 6 minutes to go in the half. Jacob France’s pressure forced a defensive error and he immediately pursued the loose ball and scored on a sliding shot past the keeper.
Wabash stepped up the effort in the second half, continually pressing the North Miami midfield and forcing errors. The pressure paid off whim Kolton Wilson gathered a ball at midfield and pushed a pass beyond the North Miami defense to a running Jacob France who buried his second goal. Wilson added an insurance goal a few minutes later. Sol France, Spencer Stout, and Will Galley locked the game down from that point on defense.
Isaac Byers ended the game with 1 save on two shots on goal.
Wabash finishes the regular season when they travel to Carroll (Flora) Thursday for a 5:30 kickoff. Wabash hosts 2A Sectional 22 next week.
